Our client is a not for profit residential aged care facility based in the western suburbs of Sydney.

Your role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your challenge will be to maintain the general ledger to accurately reflect the financial status of the organization, and manage staff in the transactional processing of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing and Payroll.

You will need to provide the senior management team with monthly management accounts including Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Cash Flow Forecast and to provide written finance reports, and ensure compliance is met.

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will be a self starter who can work independently and collaboratively with a small team. You will have a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Accountancy or have an equivalent tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or economics, with a knowledge of Care Systems software or similar and Microsoft Office.

You will be a member of an appropriate Professional Association with at least two years experience in a similar role in the Aged Care Industry and have an understanding of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) Funding models, Aged Care Act, Retirement Village Act.
